Fringe, what are you doing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm in this until the end, but I feel like Fringe took a hard turn and damn near lost me somewhere around "No One In All Of Time Has Ever Been Loved As Much As Peter Bishop So Because Of The Power Of Love He's Immune From Being Written Out of History" Street, and now I'm clinging to the roof of the Fringe bus, while gangster suited Observers are shooting at me through the roof and out the windows, and they're tryin' t' shake me-- they're tryin' hard; swervin' into "Let's Break The Universes Apart Again" Boulevard and "Have ALincolnternate Get Taken Out By Some Punk-Ass Pseudo-Sniper" Lane-- but I just won't let go.

I'm runnin' this fucker down.

ah hell, haven't seen the latest.... but yeah the whole "ZOMG PETER BISHOP IS THE MOSTEST AMAZING IMPORTANT MAN IN THE MULTIVERSE" has gotten REAL old. It always hearkens back to Ayla from Clan of the Cave Bear. By about the fourth book I was pretty much all "yeah yeah Ayla is the goddess incarnate and she pretty much invented everything important in civilization, now can we get back to yanno the STORY"

Mary Sues are fucking annoying.

Last night's is pretty good.

And I prefer Peter from Season One: Consummate Con Man, and Craftily Intelligent Individual.

I fell behind a few episodes ago, but I'm told by io9 that tonight's (which I've not yet seen) is sort of a pilot for the (once again) effectively new show that they want for the next season, if it gets picked up.

I do not understand why they do not understand that what I want from the show is weird shit and Dr. Walter Bishop, with a side order of Jasika Nicole Pruitt is inhumanly beautiful, while I do not care — indeed, I anti-care — about Peter & Olivia's relationship.

I care about OLIVIA/FAUXLIVIA's relationship, more than I care about Peter/Olivia. Seriously.

Agreed. Fauxlivia and Peter had way more chemistry.

Honestly 99% of this season has felt like treading water, with no real focus or idea of where to go. Peter has been neutered, Olivia acts ridiculous to service the plot and generally the good bits of the show have been stomped on.

But man, the last episode changes everything. It's a whole new show where things make sense.
